Loch Linnhe

Famed for its stunning summer sunsets, Loch Linnhe is a favourite haunt of photographers who journey to this glorious location to capture the alignment of the sun with the Loch. Around nine miles long and about two miles wide this tidal sea loch opens onto the Firth of Lome at its south western end by Loch Leven. The popular town of Fort William is at the eastern end of the Loch at the mouth of the River Lochy where fishing is a popular sport.

Walking, fishing, sailing, golfing, riding, mountains, wildlife, historical sites and the glories of Argyll and the Scottish Highlands await, whilst nearby Oban the gateway to the Isles offers visitors to Loch Linnhe plenty of activities although you may find that you enjoy your Scottish Highlands holiday simply by sitting alongside Loch Linnhe and gazing at the magnificent Glencoe mountain range and north to Ben Nevis, towering over the landscape.
