Highland Club Scotland self catering holidays in luxury cottages, Lodges and Apartments at Loch Ness and Edinburgh Breaks!

Fort Augustus Abbey is, without doubt, one of the finest old buildings in the north of Scotland with a fascinating history, turbulent at times, starting out as a military garrison and, ironically perhaps, later converted into a place of  peace by St Benedictine monks. Recently redeveloped, the abbey now provides some of the best  luxury self catering holiday rental apartments and cottages in Scotland with many indoor and outdoor facilities to cater for family holidays and secluded hideaways for couples. Now we also feature other top quality cottages and lodges near Loch Ness in our Elite Cottages section and high quality self catering Edinburgh Breaks.

In early 2011 an indoor heated swimming pool and spa facility will be available for use by self catering guests in the Abbey. Fort Augustus village is only a couple of hundred yards from the abbey.
There are over a hundred luxury apartments and cottages at the abbey, most are available for self catering holidays throughout the year.

Pets Welcome Cottages
Pets will be allowed in the riverside cottages, at the owners discretion.  Dog owners may consider booking one of the Cottages Elite, three of which welcome pets:

Taigh Geal - Hazelgrove Cottage and  Aspenwood Cottage

Pets are not allowed in abbey apartments.
